Scotland in Winter is one of the most magical times of year to visit, offering breath-taking views and spectacular scenery. The Trossachs is a beautiful area, which lies between Ben A’an to the North and Ben Venue to the South, with Loch Katrine to the West and Loch Achray to the East. This stunning area provides you with magnificent scenery of mountains, lochs and diverse landscapes. On this tour we will take a scenic route through the Trossachs, along with a cruise on Loch Katrine where you will enjoy live carol single. The hotel offers live entertainment including a piper and highland dancers, so get your kilts and dancing shoes ready for this winter escape away.

Winnock Hotel Dymen

Nestled in the small, picturesque village of Drymen. This hotel offers friendly hospitality, comfortable accommodation, good food and wine, along with a traditional bar with a log fire. A very Scottish welcome awaits you at this hotel. The hotel was once a coaching inn and has been extended and renovated to the hotel in which it is today. All rooms are en-suite, including satellite TV, they also have tea and coffee making facilities.
Please note there is no lift in this hotel, ground floor rooms are available on a request basis only but cannot be guaranteed.

Itinerary

Day 1: 1.We depart the Northeast and make our way to Drymen with comfort stops enroute, arriving at our hotel in plenty of time for you to relax with a drink around a cosy fire.

 Day 2: Today we take the scenic route through the Trossachs, where you can sit back and enjoy all the timeless beauty of the Trossachs. We will be making a comfort stop in Crieff.

 Day 3: We head to Loch Katrine today where you will board your relaxing 1-hour cruise. Here you can take in the views of  Ben Venue Mountain, Ellen’s Isle and Queen Victoria’s loch-side Royal cottage all while listening to some live carol singing. We will then head to the quaint village of Callender where you will have free time before before heading back to the hotel.

 Day 4: After breakfast we make our way to the Gateway of the Highlands – Inveraray. This picturesque 18th Century town offers you your typical shops and cafes but also popular attractions such as Inveraray Castle and Jail. Free time will be provided before we make our way back to the hotel.

 Day 5: Sadly, we depart for home today with a comfort stop in Glasgow arriving home late afternoon.
