Autumn in the Lakes

October is one of the most beautiful times of the year to visit this area. Stunning autumnal colours are on display for  you to admire and appreciate at every corner. The lake district boasts spectacular views of lakes, mountains &  countryside. We enjoy a visit to Muncaster Castle, along with visits to Grasmere, Grange-over-Sands and Ulverston, it  really is somewhere tranquil to spend a few days away in.

Newby Bridge Hotel

Located in the southern part of the Lake District this traditional hotel offers a warm welcome and views of Lake  Windermere. All bedrooms are equipped with a TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The restaurant  overlooks the garden and there is a lounge area with open fire. Leisure facilities including indoor swimming pool and  small gym are also available. There is no lift at this hotel, but ground floor rooms are available on request basis.

Day 1: A leisurely start we make our way to our hotel which is based near Ulverston with a comfort stop in Grasmere  enroute. We will arrive at our hotel in time for you to relax before dinner.

 Day 2: After breakfast we take the scenic route to Ambleside where you will have free time before making our way to  Grange-over-Sands.

 Day 3: Today we make our way to the family-owned Muncaster Castle. Time will be provided for you to explore this  historic property and grounds. Discover the Owl and Hawk centre or enjoy a cup of tea in the stable tearooms the choice is yours. We will then make our way back to Ulverston for some free time.

 Day 4: We depart for home today with a comfort stop in Keswick enroute arriving back late afternoon.
