Join us on this exciting tour where we stay on the beautiful Scottish island of Bute. The hotel’s location offers fantastic views over Rothesay Bay and the Cowal Peninsula. The Isle of Bute itself is only 15 miles long and 4 miles wide offering spectacular scenery and heritage. Included in this tour is a guided scenic drive around the island, a visit to Mount Stuart House and Gardens along with a guided tour of Inveraray Castle. A stunning and unique tour for you to enjoy!

Glenburn hotel

This grand and friendly hotel is set in a prime position on the Isle of Bute, just a 15 min walk to the town of Rothesay, offering fantastic views and terraced gardens along with comfortable accommodation making it a perfect location to explore this area. Please note: There are steps required to gain access to this hotel and there are no bedrooms with wetrooms. This hotel is not suitable for passengers with severe mobility issues.

Day 1: We make our way to Wemyss Bay for our ferry crossing over to the Isle of Bute with comfort stop enroute, arriving at our hotel late afternoon.

 Day 2: Today we take the short ferry ride over to Colintraive where we take the scenic route along the shores of Loch Fyne to Inveraray Castle & Gardens. Here we enjoy a guided tour of one of Scotland’s finest stately homes dating back to the 1400s. Learn about the Scottish history and enjoy the landscaped gardens. We then head to Colintraive to catch the ‘wee ferry’ to take us back to our hotel on Bute.

 Day 3: Today we take our guided tour around the Isle of Bute, learning about its history, landscape and nature, before making our way to Mount Stuart House and Gardens. This beautiful house is set in 300 acres of landscaped gardens, woodland and coast. Free time will be spent here at your own leisure before making our way to the hotel.

 Day 4: Sadly, we depart for home today arriving back late afternoon.
