The Isle of Wight is a unique holiday destination steeped in history and with over 60 miles of un-spoilt scenery and a wealth of attractions, it really does make an ideal place to visit. Situated about 5 miles off the South Coast of the  English mainland and with half the island being designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty, it really is a spectacular place to visit.

The Royal Esplanade

This beautiful hotel is situated in Ryde offering a warm and friendly welcome the moment you arrive. The hotel  provides comfortable accommodation. All rooms are en-suite with tea/coffee making facilities & TV. Live entertainment is also included at this hotel in their large entertainment lounge.

Day 1: We depart the Northeast and make our way South for our short ferry crossing over to the Isle of Wight. We will  then make our way to our hotel, the Royal Esplanade situated in Ryde, which will be our base for the next 6 nights. The hotel is ideally located close to the promenade in Ryde.

 Day 2 TO 6: We have included the following excursions within our stay on the Isle of Wight:

  • Donkey Sanctuary where donkeys in need are given a forever home. We will have free time here learning how the sanctuary works and meeting the donkeys before making our way to Ventnor.
  • After breakfast we make our way to Cowes for our boat trip around Cowes Harbour. We will enjoy full live  commentary, taking in the views of the Royal Yacht Squadron. Free time will be provided in Cowes before we  make our way back to Ryde where the rest of the day is spent at your leisure.
  • A visit to Shanklin & Sandown. Shanklin is a charming seaside town offering a thriving Centre, independent gift  shops, cafes along with history and charm. The old village of Shanklin offers some of the oldest dwellings on the Island.
  • Full day island tour including free time in Alum Bay which is home of the Needles and sands. This bay is the  westernmost bay of the island. We will then make our way to the bustling town of Yarmouth.
  • Free day.

 Day 7: Sadly, we depart for home today, arriving back early evening.
