Due to its location and Atlantic position, the Orkneys are home to beautiful Whales & Orcas patrolling the seas, seals can also be found hanging around the rocks and beaches. Taking the picturesque North Coast 500 route to Thurso and down to the beautiful town of Strathpeffer, this tour will leave you with memories that will last a lifetime.

Royal George Hotel Perth (Overnight Hotel)

This modern hotel offers elegant rooms, all with private facilities, smart TV and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a bar and restaurant area where free WiFi is available.

Pentland hotel Thurso

Located in the heart of Thurso providing an ideal base to explore the unique Orkney Islands. Offering comfortable ensuite accommodation is equipped with TV, tea/coffee making facilities and hair dryer. There is large, elegant dining room and bar offering plenty of seating for you to relax in. Please note there is no lift at this hotel.

Highland hotel Strathpeffer

Nestled in the rolling hills of the Scottish Highlands, this beautiful Victorian hotel offers comfortable and relaxing accommodation. All beds are ensuite with TV & hospitality tray. There is a beautiful bar and restaurant which provides a perfect place to unwind in.

Itinerary

Day 1: We depart the Northeast and make our way to our overnight stop in Perth. We arrive in time for you to relax before dinner.

Day 2 : Today we make our way North through the breathtaking and stunning scenery of the Cairngorms mountains with a comfort stop in Aviemore. We then take the beautiful NC500 coastal route up to Thurso which will be our base for the next 3 nights.

Day 3 : After Breakfast we make our way to the beautiful Castle of Mey. Former home to late Queen Elizabeth and Queen mother this beautiful Castle was restored by the Royal family and used on a regular basis as somewhere she could escape too. Free time will be provided here before making our way over to the quaint village of John o’ Goats. Arriving back to the hotel in time for you to relax before dinner

Day 4 : Orkney island tour. We take the stunning route around the Orkney Island today visiting the Italian White Chapel, the ancient settlement of Skara Brae along with a visit to the small town of Stromness. We will travel past the Churchill barriers and visit the mystical Ring of Brodgar, a day full of scenic views and learning about this wonderful island. We have organised a step on guide for this day to ensure we explore Orkney to its fullest.

Day 5 : We say goodbye to Thurso today and make our way down to Strathpeffer, which will be our way base for the next 2 nights.

Day 6 : After breakfast we make our way to the beautiful fishing town of Ullapool where you will have free time before making our way back to Strathpeffer for a free afternoon.

Day 7 : Sadly, we make our way home arriving back late afternoon.
