Join us on this special tour, where you can appreciate spectacular views of colours and scenery on display. We take the beautiful scenic steam train journey ide along the Forth Estuary, exploring woodlands and waterfalls on route. The scenery is varied and beautiful, it truly is a nostalgic journey. A boat cruise is also included, along with visits to the quaint little villages and towns this part of Scotland has to offer. Our hotel is situated in the outskirts of Aberfoyle offering a perfect location to explore the surrounding area.

Set in idyllic countryside at the gateway to the glorious Trossachs, this beautiful hotel offers excellent food, friendly staff and good old-fashioned value for money. The hotel has a lounge and bar area along with an area where entertainment is held. All ensuite bedrooms are comfortable and equipped with TV, tea/coffee making facilities and hairdryer.
Itinerary
Day 1: We depart and make our way to Aberfoyle with comfort stop in the New Lanark World Heritage site, a restored 200-year-old Cotton Mill Village, arriving at our hotel in time for you to relax before dinner.
Day 2 : We make our way along the beautiful Loch Lomond to Luss where we board our relaxing 90min boat tour, offering stunning views, live commentary and the natural beauty of Loch Lomond around you. We will then carry on to Crieff where you will have free time to explore this town.
Day 3 : After breakfast we make our way to Bo’ness where we start our 10-mile steam train journey. We depart Bo’ness and head to Kinneil Halt, then onto Birkhill Station which is a favourite spot with film makers because of its beautiful countryside location. Our last stop is Manuel where the train will make a 15min stop before heading back to Bo’ness. The train journey itself is truly stunning and one not to be missed. On board the train offers a buffet cart serving hot and cold drinks, along with light snacks. Included in your day is entrance into one of the largest railway museums in the UK. It has three large buildings filled with carriages, wagons and trains for you to explore and learn the history. At Bo’ness there is cafe serving tea/coffee, meals & snacks, along with all other facilities you may need.
Day 4 : A scenic morning route through the Trossachs today, where you can sit back and enjoy all the timeless beauty of the Trossachs. We will be making a comfort stop at the beautiful town of Callendar, before making our way back to Aberfoyle where you will have a free afternoon at your own leisure.
Day 5 : Sadly, we depart for home today with comfort stop enroute. Arriving home late afternoon.
