Itinerary

The Scottish Highlands is a truly beautiful part of the world offering spectacular scenery, wildlife, great hospitality and picturesque views at every turn. Our hotel is based right in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park, offering traditional accommodation with spectacular views across the Spey Valley to Ruthven Barracks. We visit the stunning Balmoral Castle, a beautiful Railway journey along with a wildlife boat cruise sailing between Beauly Firth & Inverness Firth. A fun-filled tour and one not to be missed.

Duke of Gordon Kingussie

This beautiful family hotel is situated in the heart of the Cairngorms Mountains offering spectacular views and comfortable accommodation. All bedrooms are en suite offering tea/coffee making facilities and TV. The hotel offers a beautiful restaurant and bar area along with a large ballroom where the entertainment is held.

Day 1: We make our way to our hotel, The Duke of Gordon Kingussie situated in Kingussie, which will be our base for the next 5 days.

 Day 2 to 4: Today we make our way to Inverness where we will board the Dolphin Sprit boat cruise. Our guide will provide commentary as we hope to see otters, seals, red kites, ospreys and the resident bottled nose dolphins. Free time will then be provided in Inverness for you to explore the culture, shops or just sit back, relax and enjoy the real buzz this city has to offer.

  • Strathspey Railway. Here we board the train at Broomhill and take the scenic journey to Aviemore. Free time  will be available in both Broomhill & Aviemore.
  • A visit to Balmoral Castle, holiday home to the Royal Family. This beautiful estate offers magnificent scenery along with a chance to browse around the castle taking in all the interesting stories and facts. This estate is a firm favourite with the Royal family and once you visit you will clearly understand why. We will then make our way to the picturesque village of Ballater, where you will have free time to browse around this quaint place.
 Day 5: Sadly, we depart for home today with comfort stop’s enroute. Arriving home early evening.
