Somerset Coast, The Cheddar Gorge & Bowood House

The Somerset coast boasts diverse coastline scenery along with elegant seaside resorts and picturesque harbours. We will be visiting Wells, England’s smallest city which lies on the Southern edge of the Mendip Hills, along with the  market towns Chippenham & Taunton. A visit to the Cheddar Gorge, a Cider farm and the stunning Bowood House and gardens will also be included in this beautiful tour.

Smiths Hotel Weston-super-Mare

This family run hotel offers comfortable accommodation along with warm hospitality. The hotel is located on the  beautiful seafront offering a prime location. Each en-suite bedroom offers tea/coffee making facilities, TV, hairdryers and WiFi.

Day 1: We depart the Northeast and make our way to Weston-super-Mare with comfort stops enroute. We will arrive at our hotel late afternoon.

 Day 2 to 4: Scenic route through the
Cheddar Gorge with a stop for you to explore
at your own leisure along with a visit to the
quaint town of Wells.

• Bowood House and Gardens with free time in Chippenham. Bowood House and 100 acres of beautiful landscape gardens are both steeped in rich history and natural beauty. Discover hidden gems within the grounds or admire the architectural delights as you stroll around the house, there really is something for everyone. The flourishing  market town of Chippenham is nestled on the banks of the River Avon and offers all amenities as well as an  abundance of history and culture. 
• Guided tour of Somerset’s oldest cidermaking families including a visit to the orchards, vat and press house and  the rural life museum. The tour, will of course include some tasting with one of the guides. We will then head to 
  Taunton for some free time.
